Create the Perfect Pet-Friendly Picnic
A great dog-friendly picnic doesn’t have to be complicated. Find a shady spot, spread out a blanket, bring plenty of fresh water, pack your pup’s favorite treats, and enjoy some uninterrupted time together.
Bring along a portable water bowl and keep your dog safely leashed unless you are in an approved off-leash area. If the weather is warm, look for shade and remember that dogs can become overheated much faster than we do.
And watch those picnic plates! Foods that may be perfectly fine for people can be dangerous for dogs. Avoid sharing foods containing chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, xylitol, alcohol, or heavily seasoned foods.
When in doubt, stick with treats made especially for your pup.
