Your complete satisfaction as a customer is important to us here at Four Paws Place. However, we do realize that issues may arise. Four Paws Place is an online pet store not affiliated with any retail stores. We do not carry a large inventory due to the need to keep our overhead low and prices at a reasonable rate. If you would like to return or exchange an item, please contact us via email within 5 days of receiving the merchandise at before returning the item. Any item returned to us must be in its original, unwashed, unworn and unused condition. This includes all original documents, boxes, and packaging, with the tags attached to the merchandise. If you would like to exchange an item, please send us an email notifying us what item, size and color you have selected as your replacement. Your exchange item will be shipped out once we receive your original item back. There are no exchanges at all on custom or personalized orders, beds, carriers or pillows. The customer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges associated with all returns and exchanges. Any discounts applied during initial purchase will be deducted from returned items.

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@fourpawsplace.com and send your item to:

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Shipping returns

Upon receipt, we will inspect your item to confirm that it is unused and in its original packaging. Only then will we issue your exchange or refund. We will send an email to you upon receipt for your records. We reserve the right to refuse items that have been used or are missing tags, original packaging, etc.
We work hard to process returns as quickly as possible. Please allow 5 days after we receive the items for a refund or exchange.
We recommend shipping your item back via the United States Postal Service (USPS) with delivery confirmation for tracking purposes. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
